Cat Tien National Park – Vietnam’s UNESCO-recognized World Biosphere Reserve.
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Nam Cat Tien National Park (L – D)
7:30 AM. Pick up at hotel or appointment and depart for Cat Tien National Park. The drive takes about 4 hours with short break on the way.
11.30 AM. On arrival, you will check in at Cat Tien Jungle Lodge, an elegant wooden bungalows and enjoy your lunch in the forest.
Then it’s time for an exciting walking with the tour guide into the tropical jungle to know more about the variety of plants and animals life. The trekking into the rain-forest in which you will gaze into Giant Tung Tree and put yourself in harmony with wildlife. It’s up to you, the trekking route can be further to more sites…
After that, you can explore freely: biking on small trails through the jungle. You can see so many varieties of birds rest on the branches of trees along the two sides of the road… or simply relaxing into the glorious view.
17:30 PM. Have dinner at the local restaurant in the National Park.
Then you will have unforgettable experience on the night jeep ride for an hour animal watching with a chance to see Loris, fishing cats, pangolins, civets, etc.
Overnight in there.
Day 2: Nam Cat Tien – Ho Chi Minh City ( B – L)
6:30 AM. Have breafast in local restaurant.
7.30AM. The jeep takes you to the Crocodile Lake – it is the home of not only Siamese crocodiles but also a lot of rare birds which have already been in the Red Book Animals Protection of Vietnam and the world. It takes about 20 minutes, then you will have 5km trekking to the there. If you are lucky, maybe you can easily admire the charming peacock courtship dances, melodious sound from colorful birds on the hundreds year trees or the sight of innocent deer seeking food.
It takes about 1 hour by trekking to Crocodile Lake – a number of animals such as the Siamese crocodies, Boss Gaur, Eurasian wild pig and Sampa deer and variety of waterfowl species.
After that, get back to your lodge for lunch and check out.
15:00 PM. Back to Saigon.
19:00 PM. Arrive at your place in Ho Chi Minh City.
